Cecilia von Heijne, Royal Coin Cabinet of Sweden

Cecilia von Heijne is a Swedish numismatist and archaeologist with a PhD from Stockholm University (2004), specializing in Viking Age and medieval coin finds from Scandinavia. She has worked at the Royal Coin Cabinet in Stockholm since 2004, serving as curator and researcher before becoming its director in 2018, leading its transformation into the Economic Museum – Royal Coin Cabinet. Since 2015, she has been a member of the International Numismatic Council’s committee.

Ursula Kampmann, CoinsWeekly

Dr Ursula Kampmann is a graduate numismatist. After 10 years working for international coin auction houses, she decided to focus on the intersection between collectors and the scholarly world building bridges between the different worlds of numismatics: mints, coin dealers, museums, collectors, scholars and representatives of the supplying industry. She founded her numismatic press service FAMA Ltd. Ursula Kampmann is also the founder of MünzenWoche / CoinsWeekly, an international online magazine about numismatics that is read in more than 190 countries.

Jesse Kraft, ANS

Jesse Kraft is the Resolute Americana Assistant Curator at the American Numismatic Society in New York City, where he has worked since 2019 after receiving a PhD from the University of Delaware. At the ANS, he focuses on research of the coinage, tokens, paper currency, and medals from both North and South America from the pre-Columbian period to the present day. Additionally, he is on the board of the International Committee of Money and Banking Museums (ICOMON).

Falk Liebnitzky, CIT

Born (1973) and raised in Wuppertal, Germany, Falk has been living in Switzerland for 25 years. As a sales-driven marketing expert, he has over 15 years of experience in the premium and luxury industry. He holds a MBA from the University of Applied Sciences in Bochum and an Executive MBA (Focus Sales & Marketing) from the University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen. Since six years he leads the marketing department at CIT Coin Invest AG in Liechtenstein and has previously held leadership roles at Swarovski and other international companies. His expertise includes marketing strategy, brand management, sales development, and business operations across diverse international markets. His passion is to inspire customers!

Shanna Schmidt, Shanna Schmidt Numismatics

Shanna Schmidt has been a working numismatist since 2005. She started her own business Shanna Schmidt Numismatics Inc. in 2016 and formed a partnership with the Swiss auction firm Numismatica Ars Classica (NAC) to form NAC USA, LLC. in October 2022. Most recently she acquired the BCD catalog library and launched the S&S Library.

Shanna Schmidt served on the ANA board of governors for two terms 2019-2021 and 2021-2023. She is a member of the IAPN and formerly also held a board member position. She also serves on the board of the Numismatic Bibliomania Society (NBS), is a member of the Royal Numismatic Society and is a fellow of the American Numismatic Society.

Rafael Feria Y Pérez

Dr. Rafael Feria y Pérez (Madrid, 1961), holds a degree in Ancient History and a PhD in History from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is Director of the Casa de la Moneda Museum in Madrid, as well as Associate Professor of Epigraphy and Numismatics at the UCM and of the Master's Degree in Engraving and Graphic Design at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He is Vice President of the Ibero-American Society for Numismatic Studies (SIAEN), Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of History (RAH) and Member of the Académie Belgo-Espagnole D'Histoire. He was, among other positions, President of the Spanish Committee of ICOM (International Council of Museums) and Member of the Spanish Commission of UNESCO.

Isabel Rodríguez Casanova

PhD in Archaeology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Throughout her professional career she has worked in different companies and institutions, always related to the world of History and Numismatics in its different facets: Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Real Academia de la Historia, Museo Casa de la Moneda or the Spanish Association of Professional Numismatists. She has given courses and seminars on the subject in different areas, such as the Autonomous and Complutense Universities of Madrid. She is the author or co-author of numerous scientific articles, monographs and communications at national and international conferences. Her line of research has focused mainly on coins from Ancient Hispania and Rome, although she has also worked on numismatic historiography, Byzantine and Visigoth coinage and, to a lesser extent, medieval coinage. He currently works in the company Jesús Vico, S.A.

Almudena Ariza

Almudena Ariza Armada has a degree in Medieval History and a PhD in Arabic and Islamic Studies (UCM). Since 2000 she has been a professor in the international programs of several American universities in Madrid. She currently teaches at Stanford University, New York University and the University of San Diego, and is a collaborating professor at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas. She has participated in several research projects and received numerous grants from Spanish, European and American institutions, as well as several awards, both for research (Extraordinary Doctorate Award from UCM and Javier Conde Garriga Award from the ANE) and teaching (Award of Center for Humanities from NYU and Terman Award Advisor from Stanford University). He has participated in numerous national and international congresses, seminars, workshops and symposia, and is a member of the Editorial Board and the Scientific Committee of numerous national and international journals specialized in Numismatics, Archaeology and Arabic and Islamic Studies. Her research activity focuses on Islamic Numismatics, especially Andalusian Numismatics, on which she has published numerous articles, chapters and books. She has professional experience as an expert advisor in Islamic numismatics and is a member of numerous Scientific and Professional Associations, both Spanish and American.

Martin Almagro Gorbea

Martín Almagro Gorbea is an archaeologist and museologist, currently retired, specialized in interdisciplinary studies on Archaeology, History, Epigraphy and Numismatics. He is Perpetual Antiquarian of the Royal Academy of History and has been Director of the National Archaeological Museum and Professor of Archaeology, Epigraphy and Numismatics at the University of Valencia and Professor of Prehistory at the Complutense University of Madrid. He has published over 1000 books and articles and has founded several scientific journals and series, among them the Bibliotheca Numismatica Hispana de la Real Academia de la Historia.

Manuel Gozalbes (Museo de Prehistoria de Valencia)

Curator of the Museu de Prehistòria de València where he is in charge of the numismatic collection of the museum that gathers more than 30,000 pieces. In this institution he has created a new permanent room on “History of Money” and different temporary exhibitions on numismatics. He is also responsible for the regular acquisitions policy that the museum has been developing for 25 years. His research profile has been devoted mainly to the ancient numismatics of the Iberian Peninsula. In recent years he has specialized in digital content and has participated in international meetings on the subject. Currently, his most important research project is the web catalog monedaiberica.org.

Pere Pau Ripollès Alegre

Pere Pau Ripollès Alegre is Professor of Archaeology-Honorary Professor at the University of Valencia. D. from the same University (1982), he has developed numismatic research in the field of ancient coinage of the Iberian Peninsula. He has made study stays in the main museums and numismatic cabinets of Europe and America. He has published numerous works on the Roman provincial issues of Hispania and Iberian monetary workshops. He is currently working on the Digital Catalog monedaiberica.org, which has been awarded the Collier 2024 prize by the American Numismatic Society (New York). During the last decades he has been editor of the International Numismatic e-Newsletter and member (2009-2015) and vice-president (2015-2022) of the International Numismatic Council.

Bartolomé Mora Serrano

Bartolomé Mora Serrano is Professor of Archaeology at the University of Málaga, where he teaches Classical Numismatics in the History Degree and Master's Degree. His research in this field focuses on historiographic studies, iconography and monetary circulation. He is a representative of the University of Malaga in the International Numismatic Council.

Alberto José Canto García, Dr. in Archaeology (1983), in charge of teaching Numismatics at the U.A.M., from 1983 to 2024. He received the Robinson Visitorship & Kraay Visitorship (Heberden Coin Room, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford). Corresponding member of the Royal Academy of History (2001) and of the Deutsche Archaeological Institute (2016) and collaborator of the Mint Museum of Madrid; among his works Andalusi Coins of the R.A.H., (2000); Visigothic Coins of the R.A.H., (2002); Byzantine, Vandal, Ostrogothic and Merovingian Coins of the R.A.H., (2005); Andalusian coins from the Casa de la Moneda Museum (2004); The discovery of caliphal coins from Haza del Carmen (Córdoba), (2007); Andalusian Epigraphy from the R.A.H., (2007), The discovery of caliphal coins from the Cruz Conde Park (Córdoba)(2020), Numismatic Collection of the Gómez-Moreno Institute (2025). José María de Francisco Olmos

José María de Francisco Olmos (Madrid, 1964) holds a PhD in Medieval History from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), where he was awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize in 1995 for his thesis on the crown prince in the crowns of Castile and Aragon during the late Middle Ages. He is currently a full professor in the Department of Historiographic Sciences and Techniques and Archaeology at the UCM, specializing in numismatics and epigraphy. He is a full member of the Real Academia Matritense de Heráldica y Genealogía, and a corresponding member of the Real Academia de la Historia and the Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación. He has published extensively on monetary history, heraldry and medieval documentation, and is co-author of works such as Introducción a la numismática.
